Spirit of Alaska provides many of the same banking services as the big banks. See what we can do for you everyday with this comprehensive list.
Below, you will find information about the following services:
Change Your Address
If you plan to move, be sure to update your address with us. You can do this by mail or at a branch with our Address Change Form, or through our secure e-Teller messaging system.
Here’s the information you’ll need to provide:- New Address
- Full name
- The number of each account affected by the change
- Social security number
- Birth Date
- Phone number
If your account has joint owners, be sure to include the information for everyone who has access.
Direct Deposit
If your employer participates in a Direct Deposit program, you can receive your paycheck electronically through us. When you sign up, be sure to use the Spirit of Alaska routing number (325272212) and your complete account number.

Direct Deposit Your Permanent Fund Dividend
You can also Direct Deposit your Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD). Get your PFD earlier, and completely avoid any risk of PFD check theft in the mail. Read More about PFD Direct Deposit.
Automatic Transfers between Spirit of Alaska accounts
Drop the hassle of a paper form and sign up for e-Teller!
e-Teller lets you easily set up automatic transfers and loan payments to any account. Simply choose “Transfer Funds” once you are logged in and set up the number of monthly automatic payments desired.
If you do not use e-Teller, please use the Automatic Payment/Transfer Authorization Form to set up and authorize transfers within Spirit of Alaska accounts for:- Mortgage loan payments
- Consumer loan payments (except credit cards. Use this form for credit cards)
- Automatic savings account transfers
Electronic Funds Transfer or ACH to a different institution
If you need an automatic transfer to or from an account at a different bank or credit union, you can set up a recurring Electronic Funds Transfer (sometimes known as an ACH). For incoming transactions, we will only accept payments to a credit card or loan. Start an ACH Agreement

Transaction Disputes
If you need to dispute a transaction on your account that is NOT fraud related, please use our Transaction Dispute Form.
Only use this form if you believe a transaction on your account to be in error, and not fraudulent.For Fraud related disputes, see our Security & Fraud Prevention page.
Wire Transfers
To get same-day service for your wire transfer, you must submit your written request no later than 1:00 PM. All requests received after 1:00 PM will be processed on the next business day.
Wire Transfer FormCertain wire amounts will require a Spirit of Alaska representative to contact you for verification. Please make sure your phone numbers on file are kept current so that we are able to contact you.

Foreign Transactions & Currency
Spirit of Alaska Federal Credit Union does not conduct foreign currency exchange or international wires, with the exception of Canadian checks. See our Pricing Guide for check prices.
Gift Cards
Not sure what to give? Cash is always a perfect choice. Gift Cards can be loaded up to $1,000.00 and are good for up to seven years. They are managed through the same service as our Prepaid Visa Cards.

We offer free notary services for our members. Stop by your nearest branch during business hours.
Money Orders
Money orders are available at all of our branches for your convenience. See our Pricing Guide for fees.
Cashier's Check
Cashier’s checks are available for members only. A fee of $5 applies, unless the check is made out from your account to yourself, then there is no charge.
Order Checks
Members can order checks at any of our branches, or call the Call Center. A member service representative will be happy to assist you!
You can also order checks through our Online Banking application, e-Teller:
- Click on Account Services at the top of the page
- Click on Requests in the menu to the left
- Click on the Check link and complete the form and submit.
You will receive your checks in 7-10 days in the mail.

Coin Counting
Collector's Coins
Spirit of Alaska carries a selection of collectors coins for purchase. Coins include state quarters, gold presidential dollars, state park quarters and collectors nickels.
Loan Payment Coupons
Spirit of Alaska can issue loan coupons for a small fee of $5. Call 907-459-5970, come in and see us, or print a blank coupon.
My Travel Wallet
My Travel Wallet can help you prepare for your next vacation, whether you are driving across the state or flying across the world. You’ll have access to a variety of travel services online, and you can buy foreign currency 24/7.
Close Your Account
Use this form if you would like to close your account with us. You must complete and sign the form before we can close your account and forward any remaining funds to you. A Member Service representative may contact you to confirm your information.
Please note that closing your account does not relieve you of loan obligations or fees due to this credit union. All checking accounts, ATM, debit and/or credit cards, and loans must be closed before we can close your primary share account. There may be a minimum wait period for outstanding transactions to clear before your account is closed.
