Prestige Program
When you’re a senior over the age of 55, you’re looking for the right type of social outlet to help you enjoy your free time. Spirit of Alaska’s Prestige Program offers interesting and informative events, discounts, free passes and other suitable activities for our members.
You’ll also gain access to special events, which can include entrance into popular venues like Ice Alaska, the Yukon Quest, or reduced price tour at the Auto Museum. Past events include a tour of Chena Hot Springs and the Airport, a summer visit to a local peony farm, and an interview with a local lawyer about Wills & Trusts. We also host a bi-annual Shred Day at all of our branches.
We now have over 800 Prestige members! We want this number to grow, so tell your friends and family about Prestige!

Event Spotlights
Black Spruce Brewery Tour – August 10th, 2019 – Prestige members gathered at a new brewery on a Saturday afternoon. The owner walked through the process of creating a brew, and members had the opportunity to ask questions. Everyone was given a $5 voucher towards a drink when they arrived.
Mushing Mania – March 1st, 2019 – In celebration of the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog race, Prestige members had the opportunity to enter a drawing for the Finish Banquet of the Quest, as well as head out to Paws for Adventure for a reduced rate 5 mile sled dog ride!
Income in Retirement – February 13th, 2018 – Local financial advisor firm, SBS Retirement Consultants, LLC, joined forces with Spirit of Alaska for an informative and detailed seminar on topics surrounding income in retirement, such as the role of social security, planning for Alzheimer’s or dementia and balancing pensions, annuities and other sources of income. The seminar ended on ideas for helping the next generation plan for their retirement!
Wills & Testaments – April 11th 2017 – Members joined Spirit of Alaska and local lawyer Michael Cavalier for an informative interview at the Noel Wien Library on creating Wills and Trusts, along with great Q&A opportunities throughout the interview.

Thank you for the opportunity to visit the peony farm in style the other evening. It was really a lovely outing and those folks are super nice, plus the motor coach and goodies. How do I become a Prestige member?
You are eligible if you are a member of good standing at Spirit of Alaska and over 55 years old. You can fill out the online form, or talk to any Spirit of Alaska representative.

How do I know what is happening with Prestige?
We send out Prestige News & Events emails every other month with details. When you sign up as a Prestige member, verify that your email is correct on your account with us.

I want to have my privacy election turned on. Can I still receive Prestige emails?
Yes! Just let us know, and we can make that happen.

I don't use email. Can a friend or family member receive emails for me?
Yes. You can provide the email of a spouse or friend who can pass the information on to you if you do not maintain your own email address.

I haven't received my enrollment gift. How can I collect it?
We bring enrollment gifts with us to every event, so if you attend one, you can pick it up there. You can also contact Sarah at sarah.geer@spiritofak.com and arrange to pick it up from our Gillam Branch.
